Once again we are off to a great start for registrations for our Lake Highland Prep Programs.

Thank you for your Support!

Parents - Thank you to all those in the past 10 years that have attended our annual summer soccer camp.  We have grown with you through the past decade and it is our privilege to serve your children every year and enjoy your support for our program.

To those that are considering us for the first time, please know that we are more passionate than ever about providing the best learning environment for your child.  We use a 10:1 player to coach ratio and feature our well respected curriculum that focuses on developing each player's creativity and problem solving ability.

There are many soccer camps out there, in fact more than ever; and some are doing their best to imitate our success.  However we work hard to differentiate ourselves from other camps by creating a fun environment that takes teaching your kids seriously while providing a safe and positive learning atmosphere.

DAILY SCHEDULE

Join members of the LHPS Soccer Coaching staff and SasvariWay International Soccer Academy for our annual camp for boys and girls K-8.  Boys Head Coach George Sasvari and members of the SasvariWay International Soccer Academy staff will provide quality soccer instruction that challenges players in a fun environment.  Players from the boys and girls varsity soccer team will also serve as mentors for younger players.

Each child will learn basic skills through FUN activities designed for success and to build confidence.  For middle school students the curriculum is designed for aspiring players looking to be challenged and prepare for higher-level play.

Recreational Programs

Soccer Made Fun Ages 4 - 7, Boys and Girls
This program focuses on the technical and psychological development of children. Much emphasis is placed on building confidence and enjoying soccer through skills.  The curriculum uses skill games in which direction, speed, and precision are important.  Players develop fast footwork through ball manipulation, turning, and dribbling exercises.  They learn concepts for individual attacking, defending, and shielding for possession.  This program is a player's first step toward becoming a competent player with the confidence to take risks in games.

Rec-Competitive Ages 7 - 12, Boys and Girls
Players engage in fun activities that emphasize learning while enjoying the game.
Activities are geared toward each player gaining confidence with the ball.  The program stresses small-sided games that teach passing, dribbling and receiving skills.  Players learn to improve individual skills used in different moments in the game.  Players are taught to recognize and judge situations to find creative solutions with the ball.  Each player is challenged to apply awareness and decision-making techniques combined with skill.

Advanced Programs

Select Ages 7 - 14, Boys and Girls
Players learn to make “thoughtful” decisions while performing under pressure. They are taught to recognize and judge situations while using positional tactics to find creative solutions with the ball. Each player is challenged to apply awareness and decision-making techniques combined with skill to keep possession and to re-gain possession. This program is for the aspiring player looking to achieve a higher level.

Chris Mills, Director, Lake Highland Prep Day Camps

Coach Mills led Lake Highland Prep in 2012 to one of it's best regular season finishes ever with 12 wins, 2 losses, and 2 ties.  Chris faced a tough task to open the 2011-12 season after losing 17 players from the previous year's team to graduation and transfers resulting in the greatest challenge for the soccer program since it's inception.

Mr. Mills is a hard working, very motivated, and organized young coach who has been training highly competitive teams since 2002.  He has worked in Kenya, as well as Michigan and Florida, with top players and recently has been named the assistant coach for the Kalamazoo Outrage of the W-League.  Chris also serves as assistant Athletic Director for Olympia High School in Orlando, Florida as well as head coach of their state ranked boys soccer team.

Chris is one of the young SasvariWay staff members who is rising up through the coaching ranks very fast through his impressive work ethic, motivational coaching style, and desire to consistently challenge himself as a coach.
