ASKED QUESTIONS
1)"When
and where do we check-in for residential students?"
Residential
students must check-in on Monday,
June 30th between 12:00pm and 2:00pm at the
Highgate Park Resort (Directions).
A
complete package with instructions for check-in will
be mailed the week of June 18.
2) "Can my son/daughter be placed with
his/her friends or teammates?"
Members
of the same team are placed together in training
exercises, however, groups are sometimes mixed based
on position and/or skill level. While
friends can room together in the residential villa's,
the groups in camp are based on skill level or teams.
3) "What is the coach to player
ratio?"
We use both staff instructors
and associate staff to supervise and teach players
in groups of 10 to 12 depending on the exercise. Players are also mixed between groups for
certain activities such as small sided tournaments.
4) "What about the heat, safety, and the
length of the camp?" We take water breaks every
15-20 minutes
depending on heat factor. Extra water is
provided for those that run out. We remind kids to
use sunscreen daily. The curriculum is designed to
be both inspirational and entertaining with frequent
changes in activities in order to keep the players
attention. Coaches are trained to be motivational.
An athletic trainer will be on duty daily during
training sessions. More
